Amazing location, rock structure and sunrises combine to make this a fantastic subject.

Often, after an unpromising day, a beautiful sunset rewards the patient.

This lighthouse really is as delightful as it looks. Living in the lighthouse keepers’ house must have made for wonderful sunset viewing… as long as you’re prepared for the bighting insects! Bring some bug-spray if you want to view this one!

This was the one break in the cloud that day, just after sunrise. Chilly, but definitely worth the pre-dawn start.

Copson_PemaquidAs well as leaves, there’ll also be lighthouses. Given good weather, I might even manage to cross the border into Canada and shoot some Nova Scotia.

Please let me know if you have any picture requirements in these areas, so I can add them to my shoot lists.

Finally found some consistent Fall Foliage yesterday.

Maine was beautiful, but too many evergreen trees in the forest for that cliché hillside of colour.

On the other hand, the White Mountain Forest here in New Hampshire (State Moto “Live Free or Die”… which is nice!) is amazing.

I had a lot of fun down by the Swift River for this shot.

I’ll be heading back there over the next couple of days, for some under-the-canopy pictures.
