We can finally count the time until the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games in days, not years.

The Royal Park in Greenwich will be the site of the Equestrian Events of the London 2012 Olympics.

This was the scene earlier this month for the London Olympic 2012 Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Test Event, with the National Maritime Museum and Canary Wharf beyond.

It at least gives you an idea of how things will look in 365 days time!

The structure delights the eye and boggles the mind. From every angle, there’s another pleasing intersection of curves and lines.

This image is one of my favourites, from probably a record number to be shot at such a small location.
